• Persistent agent sessions

  Turn it on with Keep remote processes alive in the terminal's setup sheet. Agents on SSH, Docker, Sandbox, and WSL connections then keep running in a tmux session on the host, so quitting Maestri and reopening it reconnects you to the same live session.

• Discover Roles

  Discover Roles, on a terminal's Roles tab, finds the roles a project already carries and imports the ones you pick, whether the project is local or on WSL, SSH, Docker, or Sandbox.

• Unload

  Right-click a terminal on the canvas and choose Unload to put it to sleep as a card, with its agent session kept for when you reload it.

• Unload a whole selection

  Unload acts on a whole selection, terminals and portals together.

• Fichários

  Group notes into an elegant tabbed folder: reorder the pages, drag notes in, pull them back out onto the canvas. Agents can file their own connected notes into a Fichário too, unlocking task-based workflows the Maestri way.

• With a node lifted, Ctrl-Tab and the number keys carry the panel from node to node, with a strip along the bottom showing the targets.
• The canvas stays put when you click into a portal's address bar.

• Right-click a workspace in the sidebar to export it as a single file, interchangeable with macOS, and import one back by double-click, dragging it onto the sidebar, or the same menu.
• Edit a portal's name, address, user agent, and storage from its right-click menu.
• An agent preset can pin its own terminal font, and Quick Start shows two rows of presets.
• Pick a font style or weight, not just its family.
• The font list scrolls, and fonts chosen on macOS are recognized and render here too.
• The terminal renderer is sharper and holds steady at high density, at any zoom level.

• Right-drag to pan

  Turn it on in Settings, General, under Canvas. Then hold the right mouse button and drag to move the canvas.

• Changing where Maestri keeps its data is safer

  The destination has to be an empty folder, the copy is verified before Maestri switches over to it, and anything already in the folder you picked is left untouched.

• Attach files from wherever an agent runs

  Typing @ in the Prompt Composer now lists the files on the machine that terminal is actually connected to, including SSH hosts, containers, and WSL, instead of coming up empty.

• Sign-in windows finish what they start

  A page that opens a sign-in window can now hand you back to the page that opened it, so logging in to an app you're building no longer leaves you stranded on the login screen.

• Mute a portal

  Turn off sound for a page that won't stop making noise, from the portal's right-click menu.

• Agents on other machines get Maestri's skills

  A terminal that connects to an SSH host, a container, or a sandbox now installs the Maestri skills on the other end, so an agent working there knows the maestri commands. Until now, only agents on this computer had them.

• Dock a panel to a screen edge

  Double-click a node to lift it to the center of the screen, then drag it to an edge to park it there as a full-height column that stays put while the canvas pans and zooms underneath it. Double-click it again to land it back on the canvas.

A file tree can now browse the machine your agent runs on, not just this computer.

• Point a file tree at another machine

  Change Root Directory now asks for the folder and the machine, so a file tree can browse an SSH host, a container, or a WSL distribution. Browsing, opening files in the editor, saving, creating, renaming, moving, copying, deleting, and searching content all work there, over the same connection the terminal already uses. It is not SFTP.

• A remote tree says what it cannot do

  Git decorations, diff, and history stay limited to trees on this computer, and a remote tree gets a manual refresh instead of watching a folder it cannot watch. Deleting a file on a remote tree says Delete Permanently and asks first, since there is no Recycle Bin on another machine.

• Selecting text scrolls the view again

  Dragging a selection past the top or bottom edge follows it again, in a normal shell and inside a full-screen program.

• A terminal stays put while idle

  It no longer jumps to the top of the scrollback on its own after sitting for a while.

• Prompts sent to an agent submit reliably

  Fixes reports of a prompt arriving in an agent's composer and sitting there unsent.

• Adjustable terminal padding

  Set how much space surrounds a terminal's content without disturbing the scrollbar.

• Focus follows the pointer, if you want it to

  New preference, off by default, that moves keyboard focus to whatever is under the pointer.

• Make an element's look the default

  Set size, font, theme, or color as the default for new elements, right from that element's own menu.

• Leave elements out of a shared partitura

  Choose which elements come along, both when you share a board and when you accept one. Connections, groups, and cable ties that referred to a left-out element go with it.

• Share a board blank

  Send the layout, colors, and names, without the writing inside.

• Config files stay in sync

  A workspace shows whether its CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md agree across floors, and a Sync action names which version wins and what gets lost before it does anything.

• Sleep prevention has three modes

  Choose whether Maestri keeps the machine awake never, always, or only while agents are working, which is now the default.

• Maestro Mode explains itself

  An info button lists the four things it unlocks.

• Unload a single floor

  Stop one floor without shutting down the rest of the workspace.

• Floor mentions in the composer

  Mention a floor by name to bring it into a prompt, the same way you already mention a terminal.

• Stable note names

  Agents can pin a note's name with `--name`, so it stays addressable no matter how the content changes.

• Pick a portal's user agent

  Choose which user agent a portal presents, and the choice survives reopening it.

• A prompt sent to an agent always submits

  With some agent CLIs, notably GitHub Copilot CLI and Codex, the prompt arrived in the composer and the Enter never fired, leaving it written but unsent. It was worst exactly where Maestri is most useful: delivering to a terminal you are not looking at. Maestri no longer tells an agent that its terminal has lost focus, so a CLI that disables its composer when unfocused stays ready to receive.

• Coming back lands you at the newest output

  Returning to a workspace places you at the bottom of each terminal's scrollback instead of at the top. Agents write at the bottom, so the top was never the useful place to arrive.

• Dragging a workspace shows where it will land

  A caret marks the position between rows, and a group or folder highlights when the item would go inside it, so the two outcomes look different before you let go. The dragged row dims and the others animate into place.

• Reorder the sidebar from the keyboard

  Workspaces and folders move with Alt and the arrow keys, with each move announced for screen readers, along with the drop position during a drag.

• Enter creates

  Pressing Enter in the New Terminal, Edit Terminal, and New Portal sheets confirms them. Sheets that delete or merge still require a deliberate click.

• Show Size

  A submenu on a portal's right-click menu chooses when the width and height readout appears: never, only while resizing, or always. Keeping it always on is for responsive testing, where the size is the thing being tested. It applies to device portals too.

• Land a floor

  A floor isolated on its own git branch can now merge its work back into the project and close, without leaving the canvas. The landing sheet shows what will move before anything happens: the files, the commits, and the real diff. You choose the branch to land into, whether to keep the floor, and whether to delete its branch afterwards. The floor overview shows which branch each isolated floor is on.

• Conflicts are shown, not discovered

  A file that would conflict is flagged in the landing sheet and opens there to show both sides in place. Landing is refused until the conflict is resolved, and you can hand it to an agent without leaving the sheet.

• Uncommitted work holds the landing back

  Changes you have not committed on a floor stop the landing instead of being left behind without a word. Files git never tracked are listed as well, so you can see what would stay on the floor.

• Connections that cross floors

  Start a connection on a terminal, switch floors, and finish it on a terminal there. The link appears on both floors, and clicking it takes you to the other end. Agents joined this way see each other and message each other exactly as if they were wired together on a single floor.

• An image reaches an agent wherever it runs

  Paste an image into the composer for a terminal running over SSH, in Docker, or in a Sandbox, and it is uploaded to that host so the agent gets a path it can open. Agents in WSL get an openable path too, where before they were handed a checksum.

• Mentions carry their terminal's color

  A terminal mentioned in the composer is drawn in that terminal's own color, so several agents in one prompt stay apart at a glance. Colors that would be hard to read are adjusted for the current theme.

• Agents can create workspaces and floors

  The commands were already there. What was missing was the skill that teaches an agent they exist, so now you can ask one for a new workspace or a new floor and it can make it.

• Panning the canvas

  Holding Space, or whichever key you set for panning, and clicking a terminal now pans instead of opening the composer and typing the key you were holding into it. Shift and the mouse wheel pan sideways.

• Delete a terminal you clicked

  The delete shortcut used to work only on a terminal you had selected by dragging a box around it, so clicking one and pressing Ctrl-W did nothing. It now works either way. Ctrl-W belongs to Maestri from here on, not to the shell, where it deletes a word, and you can move the shortcut to another key in Settings → Shortcuts.

The first public release of Maestri for Windows. It is the same spatial canvas as the Mac app, and it reads and writes the same file format, so a workspace or a partitura made on one platform opens on the other.

• The canvas

  An infinite canvas you arrange yourself. Terminals, notes, files, links, and web views are all objects on it, and they keep their positions. Connections between them are drawn as ropes that hang and settle, and you can gather a bundle of them under a cable tie, the way you would tidy the cables behind a desk.

• Terminals

  A real terminal in every node, with your own font, theme, and shell. Ctrl-1 through Ctrl-9 jump to the terminal you assigned to that slot, and links and file paths in the output are clickable.

• Agents

  Give a terminal a role and it becomes a teammate. Agents talk to each other directly rather than through you, and they can hand work back when they finish. Roles, agent presets, and skills are all configurable, and there is a command line for driving the same things from a script.

• Where it runs

  A workspace can live on this machine, in WSL, over SSH, in a Docker container, or in a Sandbox, and you can move it between them after the fact. WSL 1 and WSL 2 both work, and you choose which Linux user a WSL workspace logs in as.

• Floors

  Stack several canvases in one workspace. A floor can be isolated on its own git branch, so two lines of work can run side by side in the same repository without touching each other.

• Files

  Browse a project as a tree on the canvas and open files in a built-in editor with tabs and syntax highlighting. Drop a file in and it becomes a node.

• Portals

  Put a live web page on the canvas, connected to the terminal that produced the URL, so a dev server sits next to the thing building it.

• Partituras

  Save an arrangement of nodes and connections as a file, share it, and let someone else drop it onto their canvas. Local paths are stripped on export by design.
