Privacy Policy
Maestri, by Evercraft Labs · Last updated: February 26, 2026
Our Philosophy
Maestri is built with a simple principle: your data is yours. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information. Maestri runs entirely on your Mac, and what happens on your Mac stays on your Mac.
1. Data Collection
We do not collect any data. Specifically, Maestri does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal information (name, email, location, or identifiers)
- Usage data or analytics
- Telemetry or diagnostics
- Crash reports
- Keystroke or input data
- File contents, project data, or source code
- Network traffic data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Cookies, tracking pixels, or similar technologies
Maestri contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking frameworks, and no telemetry infrastructure. There are no servers receiving data from the application.
2. Local Storage
All data created and managed by Maestri, including workspaces, canvas layouts, notes, preferences, and configuration files, is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your computer through Maestri.
You are solely responsible for backing up your local data. Maestri is not responsible for data loss resulting from hardware failure, operating system issues, or any other cause.
3. Ombro, On-Device AI Companion
Ombro is Maestri’s built-in AI companion. Ombro is powered by Apple’s Foundation Models framework and runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence.
Key points about Ombro:
- All AI processing happens locally on your Mac. No data is sent to external servers by Ombro.
- Ombro does not store conversation history beyond the current session unless you explicitly save it.
- Ombro's capabilities, behavior, and on-device processing are provided by Apple through the Foundation Models framework. The privacy practices of Apple Intelligence are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Evercraft Labs does not control, monitor, or have access to any data processed by Apple's Foundation Models on your device.
- Ombro requires a Mac with Apple Silicon and macOS with Apple Intelligence enabled. The availability and behavior of Apple Intelligence features are determined solely by Apple.
4. Third-Party Coding Agents and CLI Tools
Maestri provides a canvas interface to organize and manage terminal sessions. Users may choose to install and run third-party command-line coding agents within these terminal sessions, including but not limited to Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex CLI (OpenAI), Gemini CLI (Google), Qwen Code (Alibaba), OpenCode, Goose, Cline CLI, and any other command-line tool.
Important disclaimers regarding third-party tools:
- Maestri does not install, bundle, or distribute any third-party CLI tools. Users install these tools independently and at their own discretion.
- Maestri does not intercept, read, modify, or store any data transmitted between the user and third-party CLI tools. Terminal sessions operate as standard macOS terminal processes.
- Each third-party tool has its own privacy policy, terms of service, and data handling practices. The data you input into a coding agent, including source code, prompts, and project files, may be transmitted to external servers operated by the respective provider.
- Evercraft Labs is not responsible for the data collection, processing, storage, or privacy practices of any third-party tool used within Maestri's terminal sessions.
- It is the user's sole responsibility to review and understand the privacy policies and terms of service of any third-party coding agent or CLI tool they choose to use.
We strongly encourage users to review the privacy policies of the tools they use:
5. License Verification and Activation Data
If you purchase a Maestri license, the transaction is processed by Stripe. During the purchase process, Stripe collects payment and billing information directly. Evercraft Labs does not have access to your full payment details (such as credit card numbers).
When you activate your license, we store the following data:
- Your email address, used solely for license recovery
- Your license key
- A non-identifiable device fingerprint, used solely to count how many devices you have activated
The device fingerprint cannot be used to identify you or your computer. It serves only to ensure your license is used within the allowed activation limit. No other data is collected during activation.
For details on how Stripe handles your data, please review their privacy policy.
6. Sparkle Update Framework
Maestri uses the Sparkle framework to check for application updates. When checking for updates, Sparkle may transmit your current application version, your macOS version, and your system architecture (e.g., Apple Silicon).
This information is used solely to determine whether an update is available and to serve the correct version. No personal data or device identifiers are transmitted.
You may disable automatic update checks in Maestri’s preferences at any time.
7. Network Connections
Maestri itself makes no network connections except for:
- License activation (one-time, if applicable) — connects to our activation service.
- Update checks (periodic, can be disabled).
All other network activity originates from third-party tools you choose to run within terminal sessions and is governed by those tools’ respective privacy policies.
8. Children’s Privacy
Maestri is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, as we do not collect personal information from anyone.
9. Intellectual Property and Redistribution
Maestri is proprietary software owned by Evercraft Labs. All rights reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the application; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application; remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices; redistribute the application in any form; share, transfer, or sublicense your license key; or use the application for any purpose that violates applicable laws.
A valid license grants a single user the right to use Maestri on their own devices. The license is non-transferable unless explicitly authorized by Evercraft Labs in writing.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Maestri is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Evercraft Labs does not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the application is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Evercraft Labs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use Maestri; any third-party tools, services, or content accessed through Maestri; any data loss or corruption; any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; any actions or outputs produced by AI features, including Ombro; or any conduct of third parties in connection with the application.
You acknowledge that coding agents and AI tools may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unintended outputs. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any code, content, or actions generated or suggested by such tools. Evercraft Labs assumes no liability for damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated output.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Evercraft Labs from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the application, your violation of this Privacy Policy or any applicable terms, your use of any third-party tools or services within Maestri, or any violation of applicable laws or regulations in connection with your use of Maestri.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil.
13. International Users
Maestri is developed in Brazil and distributed globally. If you are accessing or using Maestri from outside Brazil, please be aware that the application operates locally on your device and does not transfer data internationally. However, third-party tools you choose to use may transfer data to servers in other jurisdictions. Please review the relevant third-party privacy policies for details.
14. Your Rights
Since Maestri does not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, delete, or port. If you believe we have inadvertently collected any information, please contact us and we will promptly investigate and take appropriate action.
Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and others), you may have certain rights regarding personal data. Because Maestri does not collect personal data, these rights are inherently respected by design.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the application or our website. Your continued use of Maestri after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
16. Open Source Components
Maestri may include open-source software components, each governed by their respective licenses. A list of open-source components and their licenses is available within the application under Settings > Acknowledgements.
